Solar Installations

Solar Power Purchase Agreements & Community Solar Leases

We can provide solar electricity through a Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) or lease your rooftop to deploy community solar (Lease). A PPA provides solar energy for the building’s common area meter, offsetting your electricity costs. A Lease sends electricity to the grid and we install solar on your property as if we’re a tenant in the building.

Solar Ownership

If your preference is to own the solar on your property, we can build it for you. We can undertake additional services, if needed, such as operations and maintenance, asset management, finance, and tax credit structuring. We build solar for owners the same way we build it for ourselves – with quality components and an eye to long-term asset ownership and value.

Operations & Maintenance

Optimal Performance

Solar is a long-term investment, and maintenance of solar installations is essential to keep systems operating at 100%. If you have a PPA or Site Lease, the O&M is completed at no cost to you. If you own the PV system on your roof, we treat your solar asset as if we own it – using the same care, diligence, and maintenance team that we use to maintain our own PV systems. We monitor sites on a weekly basis to ensure high performance and dispatch maintenance crews to fix issues and maximize performance.

Asset Management

Seamless Management

We can take care of all of the owner’s solar-specific responsibilities. We manage the PV system performance reporting required by solar asset lenders, seamlessly integrating this work alongside our O&M efforts. We also manage all aspects of the SREC markets, including PJM compliance registration, monthly reporting for SRECs, and securing contracts for SREC sales. For certain systems, there are registration and notification requirements for utilities during specific O&M events.

Financial Structuring & Tax Credit Services

Maximizing Return on Investment

If you want to own the PV system located on your property, we can work with you on your financing and tax credit strategy, leveraging our relationships with multiple lenders and tax credit buyers. We can structure equipment-based financing, producing solar-specific pro formas and coordinating with third-party providers on lender documentation. For tax credit strategy, we can manage tax credit sales and bonus credit documentation, and provide the IRS compliance information to your accountant.
